Brad-Mar-Pine Baseball & Softball

BMP Baseball, Tball & Softball. Pine Richland and North Allegheny School Disctricts

Youth Baseball, Softball and Tball in Pine Richland and North Allegheny School Districts serving Marshall Township, Pine Township, Bradford Woods, and Franklin Park.  Brad Mar Pine provides baseball and softball opportunities for all ages living in Pine Richland and North Allegheny School Districts including Marshall Township, Pine Township, Bradford Woods, and Franklin Park starting at the Tball age.

Brad-Mar-Pine Athletic Association has sponsored baseball and softball programs for thousands of kids in our community for more than 60 years. In 2020 alone, more than 900 kids from ages 3-19 played in 20 different Spring, Summer and Fall baseball and softball leagues. As our name suggests, our principal footprint includes the communities of Bradford Woods, Marshall Township, Pine Township and Richland Township, including the surrounding areas in Wexford and Franklin Park. These are the communities in which our ball fields are located and our membership is drawn primarily from Bradford Woods Elementary School, Marshall Elementary School, Wexford Elementary School, Pine-Richland Middle School, Marshall Middle School, Eden Hall Upper Elementary, and Pine-Richland High School.

However, we do not have geographic boundaries and kids from a variety of different communities in the northern Pittsburgh suburbs play baseball or softball with BMP. Our goal is to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to learn and play baseball and softball in a fun and instructive environment, with opportunities for more competitive baseball and softball experiences both in house and during the summer tournament season.

We are affiliated with PONY (Protect Our Nations Youth), a national youth baseball and softball organization.  As a PONY organization, once our kids have completed the T-ball and manager pitch introductory baseball levels, our kids play "real" baseball using PONY rules—they get to steal and lead off, pitch from the stretch, and play on diamonds of gradually increasing size beginning at age 9. We have found that kids prefer this to Little League rules which include smaller fields and make kids wait until the kids are older before they let them enjoy these advanced base running and pitching concepts. As we have for many years, we continue to partner with neighboring baseball and softball organizations such as Ingomar Franklin Park Athletic Association, McCandless Athletic Association and Pine Richland Baseball Softball Association to ensure that kids throughout northern Allegheny County have a diverse and rich baseball and softball experience.
